Sazabi Ver.Ka Gundam
From: Char’s Counterattack
Release: December 2013
The Sazabi “Ver.Ka” Gundam has a beautiful box with amazing artwork. If I haven’t mentioned it before, then I will now: KEEP ALL YOUR GUNDAM KIT BOXES!! Not only do they have beautiful artwork, but they make your collection more valuable! This is a Master Grade Gundam model meaning that it is 1/100 scale and has advanced inner frame technology. It is large and has a box to match its size. The package shows pictures of all the weapons and accessories. The parts are packed in separate plastic bag compartments and colour coded. It’s well organized packaging, but has nothing on the Robot Damashii packages.
The Sazabi Ver.Ka Gundam is an absolute beast with blood red colouring and a wide body frame. The detail in the artwork is insane. There are so many little yellow and silver thrusters all over the back of the model that it’s impossible to count almost. Just make sure to set aside several hours to put his bad boy together – there are a ton of small parts to put together meticulously. Thankfully, the manual is wonderfully designed and easy to follow.
The accessories are also really awesome and very customizable. The Shield can be detached from the forearm and placed on the back; the Beam Tomahawk can be put on one Beam Sabre or both Sabres to create one huge Beam Sabre; the Beam Shot and Long Rifle are both different colours. There are also detailed pieces under the feet!! There is not a part on this master grade Sazabi Ver.Ka that isn’t meticulously detailed.
In terms of pose-ability, the Sazabi Ver.Ka Gundam model has many, many articulating parts and looks just incredible with the many shades or blood red. The joints and some other areas show just enough of the underlying silver frame to give the Gundam a cool outline. The hands have individually articulating digits, allowing for some fun posing and weapon manipulation. In Full Burst mode the Sazabi looks ready for war – very menacing and powerful.
Overall: Get the Sazabi Ver.Ka Gundam!!!
